Retail Therapy/Victoria's Secret Giveaway (CLOSED)

I've been in a bit of a funk lately, feeling like there is no "me" anymore. I feel less like a person than a diaper changing, milk making, time out giving, toy fixing, housebound, sleep deprived servant of the 3 and under crowd. Don't get me wrong, I love my kids and I'm so grateful that I'm able to be a stay at home mom. It's just been one of those weeks.

So in the few precious moments of peace I got today when the kid's naps magically aligned, I was sitting here feeling sorry for myself. Then I remembered that I still have gift cards left over from Christmas. There may even be some from my birthday last year. Who keeps gift cards that long? Shopping just isn't so much fun with three kids in tow. Anyhow, I have these gift cards. I also have a computer. Why did I not put this together before?

Now I'm expecting packages from Old Navy and Victoria's Secret and everything in them is for me. I feel a little better already, hooray for retail therapy!

Blogging is like therapy for me too, and I appreciate my visitors, each and every one of you. Maybe you could use a little retail therapy too? This pity party has a door prize. It just so happens that I have another one of these:
I'm going to give it to one of you. (Giving things away can be a good pick-me-up too!) A $30 Victoria's Secret Gift Card to put towards on bras, panties, lingerie, pajamas, bath & body stuff, whatever your little heart desires.

To enter this giveaway, leave me a comment and let me know what you do to get yourself out of a funk.

Please make sure I can contact you through your profile or that you leave an e-mail address so that I can reach you if you are the giveaway winner.

For extra entries, you can do any/all of the following:
  • Become a fan of My Charmed Life on Facebook and leave an additional comment.
  • Follow this blog and leave an additional comment.
  • Subscribe via e-mail and leave an additional comment.
  • Blog about this giveaway and comment with a link to your post.
  • Stumble my home page and comment with your Stumbleupon user name.
  • Follow me on Twitter (justaddcharm) and tweet about this giveaway - leave an additional comment with your Twitter ID.
The giveaway will end May 3 at 11:59pm PST and I will select a winner at random the next morning. Open to residents of the US & Canada. Good luck!

Now go check out my other giveaways, there's a list on the left sidebar.

I have found that window shopping can *sometimes* cure my funk. But not at my typical stores. I need Macy's or some of the (few) "high end" stores..

And a half price diet coke from sonic with the good crunchy ice makes every thing feel better..=)

But if I'm in a doozy of a funk, there is only one cure. Sunshine. Lots and lots of sunshine.

Hey Sarah! Great giveaway! To get myself out of a funk I go shopping! Seriously, I rarely shop for myself, always for everyone else. So I go shopping and get at least a shirt for ME. Even if it's on the clearance rack for 5 bucks and it is the only thing I buy, it really makes me feel better.

Oh hun, I've been there, in fact, I AM there, milk making, diaper changing and all. Shopping is always a pick me up, especially when it's done online, no staring that those 3 way mirrors.

When I'm feeling low (and funky) me and the bath tub have a date with some candles, bubbles, and a plate of chocolate covered bananas.

I get myself out of a funk by just taking the time to mellow out. Locking myself in the bathroom and turning the music up while I shower or soak in the tub.

Anything to do with music always helps me.

I was in a funk earlier this evening after I heard from my lil sis and I have a very hard dilema, so I had the non hubby put kiddos to bed and I curled on the couch for like 2 1/2 hours watching television. It sure helped me tonight!

Sometimes curling up with a good book helps too.

Thanks for the great giveaway!

I used to go shopping....but I recently put myself on a budget freeze and window shopping isn't as appealing to me.

My new trick...exercising. Most of the time it's just a walk outside or an exercise show from on demand. Either way, it's a stress buster and energy builder!

I hope just hosting this giveaway is going to get you out of your funk because you are doing something so generous and helping all of us get out of our "funks" too! Sometimes just doing a random act of kindness for someone else can make a person immediately feel confident and so much better about themselves. I too have 3 young children and often find that I lose a sense of myself too! But when I do something unexpected and helpful for someone else other than my family, better yet a total stranger and I see how much what I did made their day, it snaps me out of my funk! One thing I love to do to get out of my funkiness is either plants flowers in pots to put around our yard, or I love to attend estate sales and come across some super fantastic "find"! Those 2 activities are very therapeutic for me! Buying a few new pairs of sexy panties from VS will put a smile on my face too! Thanks so much for the opportunity to enter. You ROCK for contributing this GC for the giveaway!
